2009/2010 Yearbooks
Thanks to all who ordered, your copies are reserved and will be available in early June! We have officially SOLD OUT all our guaranteed copies. Our publisher usually has a few over runs which are then made available to us after printing. If you didn't turn in your order but would like to be on the list for possible availability, please submit an order form and check as soon as possible. Orders will be prioritized as we receive them and made available on a "first ordered, first filled" basis. New requests will be held until we know whether a yearbook copy can be secured and checks will be returned in the event that we cannot fill the request.

Parent Club Board Elections
Tonight we will ratify our new board. Kathleen George has accepted a nomination for the position of secretary for the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 school years. Incumbent vice-president, Maria Schmidlkofer and president, Debi O'Bryant, are both on the ballot to serve during the 2010/2011 school year. All candidates currently run unopposed.

St. Mary School Advisory Council Minutes
Wednesday, April 28, 2010
Attending Members: Rick Schindler, Dana Peters, Tina Quigley, Ken Adams, Gina Keudell, Eric Fery, Patty Sampson and Steve Ripp.
Principal Report:
- The Strategic Plan will be reviewed twice a year at the Advisory Council meetings.
- Five interviews for the new First grade teacher have been completed. Second interviews are being set up with the finalist the candidates will have to prepare a lesson plan and teach in the first grade class while being observed. The candidates will also meet with a group of parents.
- May Crowning/Grandparents day will be Friday, May 7. Last year was the largest turnout since Rick has been here. They are expecting a similar turnout this year.
- Rick is currently performing formal teacher observations.
- The 7th grade parents have met and will be fundraising to support outdoor school for next year.
- Rick has been speaking at Masses at various Vicariate churches and plans to be done by the end of May.
- Tuition Assistance requests have increased substantially and less tuition assistance funds available to give this year. A letter will be sent out explaining the situation to families.
- K-12 information: a detailed five year business plan will be put together before merger is finalized.
- The final proposed budget was reviewed with the board.
- The school has been informed that we have to license our Preschool program and after-school care programs with the state because we are now required by law.
Open Discussion:
- A lengthy discussion was had on our current dress code guidelines and how loosely it is followed by some families and the varying degrees of enforcement of it by staff. The question was asked on whether we should go to a true uniform. It was felt that this would not be supported by the school families due to the increase in cost. We will be looking at ways to increase support of the dress code and consistency in enforcement.
- We have one Immaculate Conception board position opening for next year. This will be a 4 year term. We are seeking nominations.
- We have not received information on the final numbers for the St. Mary/Regis Annual Fund this year.
The next meeting is Wednesday, May 26 at 7pm
Tina Quigley will be the prayer leader.
